Job summary

MORRISON EXPRESS (M) SDN BHD (SELANGOR) is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Declaration Clerk to handle import and export declarations and EDI submissions for sea freight. You will prepare documents, submit permits, and coordinate with customers, Operations, shipping lines, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance under Malaysian customs rules.

The role requires 1–2 years in import/export declarations, familiarity with SMK/uCustoms, and HS code classification.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• At least 1–2 years of working experience in import and export customs declaration or EDI submission preferred.
• Familiar with Malaysian Customs System (SMK, uCustoms, or similar).
• Knowledge of HS code classification and customs procedures is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs declarations for import and export shipments via EDI system.
• Familiar with Form K1, K2, K3, K8, K9, ZB1, ZB2, ZB4, etc.
• Submit manifests through the appropriate system in compliance with customs requirements.
• Handle FOSIM and other OGA clearance processes through the designated platforms.
• Prepare complete and accurate documentation for customs clearance of import and export shipments.
• Prepare and follow up on customer appointment letters for submission of Perlantikan Ejen (Agent Appointment Letter) to customs.
• Assist customers in checking HS code classifications using the tariff finder system upon request.
• Generate Purchase Orders (PO) and Invoices using the KBK Prolink system.
• Apply for permits via the Dagang Net system.
• Support the team by delegating daily tasks and ensuring submission of customs documents in a timely manner.
• Coordinate closely with the Operations team to monitor declaration status and ensure all tasks are completed before deadlines.
• Take on additional tasks as required to support departmental operations and performance.

Job Summary

Responsible for handling import and export customs declarations for sea freight shipments, including EDI submissions, customs documentation, permits, and OGA clearance. The role coordinates closely with customers, Operations, shipping lines, and relevant government agencies to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance in compliance with Malaysian customs requirements. The position also supports daily team coordination and follows up on shipment and declaration status to ensure all tasks are completed within the required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
