Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Business Development Manager - Operations Software to drive growth of industrial operations software across manufacturing and process industries, from value discovery to commercial structuring. You will work closely with sales teams, other BDMs, and technical support to shape and close opportunities.

The role requires deep industry experience in industrial automation or software sales, and a track record of consultative, value-based selling to enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation or software sales.
• Experience with solution-led sales, BOM support, pricing, and value-based packaging for complex software deals.

Responsibilities

• Position operations software as a key business value driver for customers.
• Lead end-to-end deals from qualification to closure, including architecture and scoping.
• Articulate ROI-focused narratives for Digital Industries portfolios.
• Conduct workshops, demos, and discovery sessions to prove software value.
• Build and co-create joint solution plays with partner ecosystems.
• Engage across engineering, IT/OT, and executives to influence buying decisions and achieve quotas.
