Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a diligent Facilities Maintenance Technician to assist in monthly inspections of buildings, bathrooms, lighting and public areas in Kuala Lumpur. You will maintain electrical systems and appliances in good condition and report any unreparable equipment.

You will install and lay electrical wiring, replace lighting fixtures in hostels and public areas, perform plumbing repairs, and install or maintain door hardware.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent; 2+ years in related field.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin expected.
• Team player with positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly inspection of facilities including bathrooms, lighting and public areas.
• Maintain electrical systems and appliances in good condition.
• Replace or repair electrical equipment and report unreparable items.
• Carry out installation and wiring of electrical fittings within the building.
• Replace and maintain lighting fixtures in hostel/public areas.
• Perform plumbing maintenance and repairs, fix leaks and clear drains.
• Install and maintain door locks, handles and related hardware.
• Support daily maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Assist in conducting monthly inspection of all facilities including bathrooms, toilet, lighting and public areas.

Maintaining all electrical systems and appliances can be used and in good condition.

Replace or repair any electrical equipment that is not working and report any equipment or damage that cannot be repaired.

Carry out the installation and laying of electrical wiring, fittings and related electrical works within the building.

Replace and maintain lighting fixtures in the hostel and public area.

Perform maintenance and repair works on plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and clearing clogged drains.

Install, repair and maintain door locks, handles, handrails, and related hardware.

Support and carry out all daily maintenance works, building installation of electrical fittings, in-house general wiring work, building maintenance and all other related duties as assigned.

Requirement

Candidate must possess at least a MinimumSijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Willing work on Overtime, Weekend and Public Holiday for ad-hoc task.

Able to work as a team and good attitude.
