Job summary

Allied Group Property Services in Penang is hiring a facilities technician to perform periodic checks, record conditions of electrical equipment, and attend to minor repairs in common areas. You will replace faulty minor components and fixtures, maintain records of parts changed, and support major works handled by contractors after approvals.

The role requires 2 years in building management, with a Malaysian Special Skills Certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of building management experience preferred.
• Malaysian Special Skills Certificate preferred.
• Able to perform minor repairs and maintenance in common areas.
• Record-keeping of mechanical and electrical parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic checks and report on condition of electrical equipment, components and pump motors.
• Attend to minor repairs highlighted by residents in common area facilities.
• Attend, replace and modify faulty minor electrical components and light fittings in common areas.
• Upkeep and restore minor defects such as masonry, painting, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Keep proper records of mechanical and electrical parts changed or replaced.
• Carry out other duties as required by Building Supervisor/Manager.

1. To perform periodic check, record and report on the condition of all electrical
equipment, components and pump motors.

2. To attend to minor repairs highlighted by Residents in respect of common area facilities.

3. To attend, replace, change and modify faulty minor electrical components and light
fittings in the common area.

4. To upkeep, maintain and restore minor defects eg. masonry, painting, electrical,
plumbing or carpentry work. Major defects shall be referred and carried out by
appointed independent contractors after the necessary approvals from Building
Supervisor/Manager had been obtained.

5. To keep a proper record of all mechanical and electrical parts changed or replaced.

6. To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Building Supervisor / Manager
