Job summary

Sunway Retail in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to attend repairs and preventive maintenance across building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and safety features in Mont Kiara and Cheras. You will carry out regular inspections, support cost control efforts, and coordinate with on-site contractors.

The role requires a certificate in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or a relevant trade qualification, and a willingness to work shifts, weekends, and

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, SPM, or a recognized trade qualification.
• Experience in facility management is an added advantage.
• Possession of relevant technical competencies (AO Chargeman, Orang Bertanggungjawab, or other certifications) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Attends to repairs and maintenance of all building systems and related equipment.
• Performs general and emergency repairs to plant and equipment within a timely manner.
• Conducts regular inspections of plant and equipment as per checklist and statutory requirements.
• Ensures safety features operate optimally and follows emergency procedures.
• Liaises with on-site Property Maintenance Electrical Contractors and supervises contractors.

iCarries out meter readings to maintain records for utility costs throughout the building, including those of tenants when required.

• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and wiring is preferred.li>
• Good technical, problem-solving, and preventive maintenance knowledge.
• Familiar with relevant building regulations, fire safety requirements, and local standards.
• Basic knowledge of information systems.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
• Team player with willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Willing to be based in Mont Kiara and Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
