Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a skilled Electrical Technician to plan site activities, install wiring, test and troubleshoot electrical systems, and maintain plant equipment. The role includes supervising contractors and ensuring HSE procedures are followed to support reliable operations.

The incumbent will coordinate with management, work independently, and ensure compliance with the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and regulations, providing clear communication with end-users and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• SPM with Certificate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
• Coordinate with management, good working attitude, teamwork.
• Able to work independently.
• Knowledge of wiring for installations, air-conditioner servicing and facilities management.
• Knowledge of first aid and electrical safety.
• Knowledge of Electricity Supply Act 1990 and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize site activities, scheduling and controlling progress of works.
• Installation of electrical wiring to machine and system in the plant.
• Conduct testing, inspection and troubleshoot electrical wiring systems.
• Maintain and operate all mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.
• Conduct, supervise and engage in repair works.
• Supervise contractors when required.
• Facilitate Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
• Address end-user requests and complaints and resolve them.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, statutes and regulations.
• Communicate effectively at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
• Undertake other duties as assigned for effective job realization.

• Responsible for planning and organizing site activities, scheduling and controlling on progress of works.
• Installation of electrical wiring to machine and system in the plant.
• To conduct testing and inspection and troubleshoot on the electrical wiring system in the plant.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess SPM & Certificate/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic)
• Able to speak and write in Bahasa Malaysia or English

• Possess sufficient knowledge and skill in wiring for any installation, air-conditioner servicing and facilities management.
