Job summary

SNS Network seeks a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join our Bayan Lepas team in Penang. You will provide on-site client support, diagnose hardware and software issues, and configure networking gear to meet client needs.

The role requires travel to customer sites nationwide and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Computer/IT, be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and have at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma or Bachelor’s in Computer/IT or related field.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel to customer sites nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide client support and technical issue resolution on products and services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot hardware and software issues and repair devices.
• Identify and correct operational issues in clients’ computer systems.
• Understand customer requirements and provide proposals accordingly.
• Perform hands-on configuration of networking equipment (APs, switches, firewall).
• Perform onsite service at clients’ locations as required.
• Obtain technical certifications assigned by Head of Department or Management.
• Arrange and follow up warranty procedures for each case.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

• Provide client support and technical issue resolution on products and services;
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and repairing devices;
• Identify and correct or advise on operational issues in clients’ computer systems;

• Perform any ad‑hoc tasks which may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Required skill(s): Hardware & PC troubleshooting, System Administration and Networking.
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Able to work independently, full responsibility and with minimum supervision.
• Possess Valid car driving license (mandatory)
• Willing to work outside normal office hours (weekends, public holidays) when required
• Applicants must be willing to based at Bayan Lepas, Penang and travel to customer sites nationwide.
