Job summary

Talent Trader Group is seeking a Technical Manager (Geotechnical Expertise) to lead the geotechnical team and act as the main technical liaison for clients and stakeholders. You will guide proposals, oversee ground improvement designs, and ensure timely client approvals across projects in Asia.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with a strong geotechnical background, PE status is an advantage, and at least 10 years' experience. EA license numbers may be included in resumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification and/or Professional Engineer status in Geotechnical Engineering is an advantage.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS and Slope/W is required.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with managerial responsibilities.
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical engineering and ground improvement technologies.

Job description

Technical Manager (Geotechnical Expertise)

Serve as the main technical contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities on technical and commercial matters, including obtaining design parameters, developing optimal solutions, and following up on proposals.

Provide engineering support throughout business development and sales activities, including feasibility studies, technical discussions, and negotiations, while translating client requirements into practical technical solutions.

Act as the technical liaison between customers, business development, engineering, operations, and other departments to clarify specifications, project scope, performance requirements, and contractual matters.

Lead the technical team in preparing and reviewing technical proposals for ground improvement projects and provide technical input for commercial proposals during tenders.

Oversee detailed engineering design for ground improvement projects and lead design coordination meetings to secure timely approval from clients and consultants.

Lead, develop, and manage technical engineers, including recruitment, work scheduling, performance monitoring, and performance management.

Support operations with design submissions, method statements, instrumentation and monitoring reports, pre- and post-treatment testing reports, final technical reports, and as-built drawings.

Conduct technical marketing activities through seminars, exhibitions, client visits, marketing materials, and technical papers.

Provide technical support to regional teams across Asia.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
