Job summary

Asia Infrastructure Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. You will analyze and design geotechnical systems, review site investigations, and provide technical support across infrastructure, industrial and building projects.

You will interpret ground reports, develop parameters for foundations and earth-retaining structures, and perform design calculations. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential to deliver safe, practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization and CGPA 3.5+.
• 2–5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience in consultancy or design.
• Solid knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, investigations and analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong report writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical analyses and designs per project requirements and standards.
• Interpret ground investigation reports, lab results and field monitoring data.
• Develop geotechnical parameters for foundation and earth-retaining structures.
• Carry out design calculations for shallow/deep foundations, raft foundations and walls.
• Assess settlement, bearing capacity, lateral pressures and soil–structure interaction.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation measures.
• Support feasibility, FEED and detailed design, and provide construction-stage services.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, specifications, calculations and drawings.

Job description

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Asia Infrastructure Solutions Sdn. Bhd. You will be involved in geotechnical analysis, design, site investigation review, and technical support for infrastructure, industrial, building, and other projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing

Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and designs in accordance with project requirements, design codes, industry standards, and company procedures.

Interpret and evaluate ground investigation reports, laboratory test results, and field monitoring data.

Develop geotechnical parameters for foundation and earth-retaining structure designs.

Carry out design calculations and assessments for:

Shallow foundations

Deep foundations and piling systems

Raft foundations

Retaining walls

Slope stability

Ground improvement works

Earthworks and site formation

Assess settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, and soil-structure interaction.

Conduct geotechnical risk assessments and provide practical engineering solutions and mitigation measures.

Support feasibility studies, concept design, FEED studies, detailed design, and construction-stage engineering services.

Prepare geotechnical design reports, technical specifications, engineering calculations, drawings, and construction documents.

Provide technical guidance during construction and foundation installation activities.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical specialization preferred) with a minimum CGPA of 3.5.

2 to 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience in a consultancy or engineering design environment.

Sound knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, geotechnical investigations, and geotechnical analysis.

Familiarity with relevant engineering codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Strong technical report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good project coordination and time management abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5, SLOPE/W, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Fresh graduates with strong academic achievements and a demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering are encouraged to apply.
