Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Team Leader to motivate, coach, and manage a high‑performing operations team in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee daily workflows, ensure compliance with procedures, and drive process improvements across the unit.

The role requires 3–5 years in banking with 1–2 years in supervision, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to development and risk management. You will report to senior management and contribute to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in banking with 1–2 years in supervision.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach, and manage a team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee daily operations and workflow, ensuring adherence to procedures and SLAs.
• Monitor team performance, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide feedback.
• Handle complex customer inquiries and escalations, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and risk guidelines.
• Identify training needs and facilitate development opportunities for team members.
• Contribute to development and implementation of new processes to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
