Job summary

AmBank Group in Malaysia is seeking a Merchant Relationship Manager to drive sustainable revenue growth by acquiring and managing a high-quality merchant portfolio and by deepening product penetration to maximize merchant lifetime value.

You will acquire new-to-bank merchants, conduct portfolio reviews to optimize profitability and pricing, deliver against sales targets and KPIs, and serve as the primary contact for merchants to ensure timely issue resolution and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years working experience in sales or service; fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work under minimum supervision.
• Display good attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Result oriented, passionate about marketing and willing to take up new challenges.

Responsibilities

• Drive sustainable revenue growth by acquiring and managing high-quality merchant portfolio and deepening product penetration to maximize merchant lifetime value.
• Drive merchant portfolio revenue growth through acquisition, activation, and expansion of existing accounts.
• Acquire new-to-bank (NTB) merchants with strong revenue and profitability potential.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to optimize profitability, pricing, and risk exposure.
• Deliver against assigned sales targets, revenue KPIs, and productivity metrics.
• Ensure merchant activity rate is maximized and all accounts are profitable.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term merchant relationships to drive retention and wallet share.
• Act as primary point of contact for merchant, ensuring timely issue resolution and service excellence.
