Job summary

Michael Page Malaysia is partnering with a leading international logistics and supply chain solutions provider to recruit a commercially driven Business Development Manager for contract logistics. You will identify new opportunities, tailor warehousing, distribution, and transport solutions, and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within logistics, contract logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain solutions.
• Experience managing RFQ/RFP processes, commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and customer engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the contract logistics and supply chain solutions space.
• Develop strong relationships with prospective customers and key decision-makers across multiple industries.
• Understand customer supply chain requirements and propose tailored warehousing, distribution, transportation, and value-added logistics solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end sales process, including solution positioning, proposal preparation, pricing strategies, and tender submissions.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts to secure profitable long-term partnerships.
• Achieve sales and revenue targets through new business acquisition and account growth initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to uncover new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and onboarding of new customers.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast business opportunities, and provide regular market updates.
• Drive customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities to expand existing business relationships.
