Job summary

Private Advertiser in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking an enthusiastic Learning & Development Manager to lead the unit on a full-time basis. You will design, implement and evaluate comprehensive training programmes that boost employee capabilities and support strategic objectives.

You will manage delivery, measure impact with metrics, stay current with best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to foster a culture of learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in HR, L&D, Training, Education or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Learning & Development or Training coordination in a corporate environment.
• Proven ability to design and deliver training across diverse audiences and learning styles.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design and delivery techniques.
• Experience with LMS and other training technology platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage diverse groups.
• Strong project management with ability to handle multiple initiatives.
• Understanding of Malaysia employment regulations and workplace development frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs with department heads and management to identify priority skill gaps.
• Design and develop engaging learning programmes including classroom and online formats.
• Coordinate and manage training delivery across the organisation with quality content.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments and metrics to drive ROI.
• Collaborate with external providers to supplement internal capacity when needed.
• Develop and manage training budgets for cost-effective delivery.
• Create individual development plans and support career progression.
• Stay current with industry best practices and innovative training approaches.
• Support induction and onboarding programmes for new employees.
