Job summary

Schneider Electric Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Channel & Business Development Specialist (Panel Builder/Switchboard) to drive growth through the panel builder and switchboard distribution channel in Malaysia. You will identify, cultivate and expand relationships with key channel partners.

You will collaborate with sales, marketing, product management and operations to deliver integrated solutions, monitor partner performance against KPIs and negotiate terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in new business development, channel management or strategic sales within electrical industry.
• Strong knowledge of panel builder, switchboard, or electrical distribution industry.
• Excellent relationship management and networking skills with ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; data-driven strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; local dialect a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Malaysia to meet partners and attend events.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric products or electrical industry beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential channel partners within the panel builder and switchboard industry.
• Develop and implement channel partnership strategies to drive new business and market expansion.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, system integrators and panel builders.
• Create customised business propositions and support packages for channel partners.
• Monitor partner performance against KPIs and provide coaching to maximise results.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, product management and operations to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
• Prepare business plans, proposals and presentations for partners and senior management.
• Negotiate commercial terms and agreements with channel partners.
• Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress and financial metrics.
