Job summary

Marcus Builders Sdn. Bhd., based in Johor Bahru, is seeking a Civil Engineer (Site) to receive and check drawings, monitor on-site progress and ensure work aligns with specifications.

You will prepare management and progress reports, assist the Project Manager to track schedule and cost, and liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers. Candidates should have at least a Diploma/Certificate/Bachelor in Civil Engineering with 3 years’ relevant experience, strong communication

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in civil engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, infrastructure works preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive drawings, check and sort drawings according to project.
• Prepare management reports and update project progress reports.
• Assist Project Manager to monitor site schedule, progress and quality as per specs and within time and cost targets.
• Identify, receive and solve technical problems at site.
• Attend meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on construction aspects.
• Liaise with HQ for submission and documentation of the project.

Job description

Receive drawings, check and sort drawings according to specific project.

Assist Project Manager to monitor site schedule, work progress and work quality on site accordance with specification and ensure its completion within the targeted time frame and cost.

Identify, receive and solve technical problems at site.

Attend meeting related to the project and liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers on all related aspects of construction activities and to resolve construction problems.

Liaise with in charge person at HQ for submission and documentation of project.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Professional Certificate / Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

At least 3 year(s) of working experience in similar position or related field. Experienced in Infrastructure Works will be added advantages.

Required Skill(s): Computer literature, excellent communication skill and teamworks.
