Job summary

Setia Awan Land Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a site supervisor to coordinate with consultants, contractors and authorities, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget and to high-quality standards in Batu Berendam, Melaka.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or related diploma, 3+ years of site supervision experience, strong planning, teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to be based in Melaka is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Building.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.
• Good planning and supervision skills.
• Independent and able to meet deadlines.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with 7+ years experience considered.
• Experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor is advantageous.
• Able to work under stress and tight timelines.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willing to be based at Batu Berendam, Melaka.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities and PMO to complete work on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor site activities including inspections, measurements and supervision to meet specifications, drawings and programs.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and ensure accurate recording.
• Attend audits and project meetings (progress, safety, contractors).
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instructions to contractors including NSCs.
• Assist the HOP in overseeing site organisation, management and administration.
• Ensure procedures follow the project quality plan/ ISO requirements.
• Record keeping and office administration.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Be well-versed in construction sequencing, especially Main Building and Infra works.
• Undertake any other tasks as directed by Management.

Job description

1. Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee on the requirement in order to complete the work on time, cost and high quality.

2. Monitor site activities such as checking inspection, measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specification, drawings, and programs to achieve target progress and quality.

3. Prepare daily report and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded.

4. Attend audit interviews and all projects meeting i.e. progress meeting, safety meeting, and contractors meetings etc.

5. Issue and enforce verbal and written instruction to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC).

6. Assist the HOP in overseeing the site organization, management and administration.

7. Ensure work procedures are strictly followed in accordance to the project quality plan/ ISO requirements.

8. Record keeping and office administration.

9. Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate effectively with main contractor and sub-contractors.

10. Well verse in construction works sequencing especially in Main Building and Infra works.

11. Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering / Building or any equivalent discipline.

2. Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.

3. Possess good skill in planning and supervision.

4. Independence and able to meet deadlines.

5. Candidate with Diploma in Civil Engineering with seven (7) years of experience and above can be considered.

6. Candidate with working experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor has added advantage.

7. Able to work under stress and tight timeline.

8. Good team player and communication skills.

9. Willing to be based at Batu Berendam, Melaka.
