Job summary

Grand Built Construction Company in Shah Alam is seeking a capable site supervisor to oversee civil, structural and architectural works. You will plan daily site activities, manage labor deployment and ensure timely, safe project delivery while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires reading drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and liaising with clients and authorities. Fresh graduates welcome; 2–8 years of site experience preferred. Willing to travel and work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil or construction-related fields.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 2–8 years of site experience preferred.
• Familiar with CONQUAS, QLASSIC, CIDB and Malaysian standards (advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schedules.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and quality control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for reports.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work outstation when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day civil, structural, and architectural works to align with drawings, specs and schedules.
• Plan, organize and direct daily site activities and labor deployment for timely delivery.
• Drive project progress and resolve bottlenecks on site.
• Enforce quality control to meet CONQUAS and QLASSIC targets.
• Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with drawings and safety regs.
• Monitor material usage and allocate resources to minimize wastage.
• Serve as site liaison between Clients, Consultants, Architects, Authorities and subs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel on sequencing and schedules.
• Collaborate with QS on progress claims, VOs and site measurements.
• Provide technical direction to resolve on-site issues and avoid delays.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports and milestones.
• Ensure permits, inspections and quality docs are maintained.
• Chair and participate in progress, coordination and toolbox meetings.
• Execute additional project assignments as required.

• Oversee day-to-day civil, structural, and architectural works to ensure alignment with project drawings, technical specifications, and construction schedules.
• Plan, organize, and direct daily site activities and labor deployment to achieve timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.
• Drive overall project progress, maintaining continuous site operational flow and resolving operational bottlenecks.
• Enforce stringent quality control standards across all structural works and architectural finishes to achieve target CONQUAS and QLASSIC benchmarks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, statutory safety regulations, and site housekeeping standards.
• Monitor material usage and resource allocation to optimize consumption and minimize site wastage.
• Serve as the primary site liaison between Clients, Consultants, Architects, Local Authorities, Subcontractors, and Quantity Surveyors.
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel regarding work sequencing, resource availability, and schedule adherence.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors on progress claim verifications, variation orders (VOs), and site measurements.
• Provide immediate technical direction to resolve complex on-site issues promptly, preventing schedule delays and design conflicts.
• Prepare, review, and submit timely daily and weekly progress reports and milestone tracking documentation.
• Oversee administrative site compliance, ensuring all work permits, inspection sign-offs, and quality control documentation are accurately maintained.
• Chair and participate in regular progress, coordination, and toolbox safety meetings.
• Execute additional project assignments and directives as required by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 2–8 years of construction site experience preferred (depending on position).
• Knowledge of CONQUAS, QLASSIC, CIDB requirements, Malaysian construction standards, and 5S is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in Arch/structural drawings and plans.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work schedules.
• Good understanding of construction methods, quality control, safety regulations, and site supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel, work outstation, and work beyond normal hours when required.
