IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor for a project located in Kulim, Kedah. The role covers pre- and post-contract activities, cost control, and commercial documentation to support procurement and tendering.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying with 1–4 years of relevant experience, and is willing to be based full-time on-site at the Kulim project. Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills are essential.

Descripción del empleo

Manage pre- and post-contract activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and project procedures.

Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and other commercial documentation for procurement and tendering purposes.

Evaluate tender submissions, prepare cost comparisons, and support subcontractor and supplier selection and commercial negotiations.

Manage contracts and subcontracts, including progress claims, payment recommendations, variation orders, and final account settlements.

Prepare, review, and verify progress claims, invoices, and supporting documents submitted by clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Evaluate variation works, conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs, and verify completed works and material requisitions.

Coordinate with project, site, and procurement teams to monitor project costs, manage contractual issues, and support effective cost control.

Maintain accurate tender records, contract documentation, cost reports, and variation registers throughout the project lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

1-4 year of pre- and post-contract experience in building or construction projects, preferably within a main contractor environment.

Good knowledge of tender preparation, cost estimation, contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.

Experience in semiconductor manufacturing facilities or other mission-critical construction projects is an advantage.

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

Willing to be based full-time at the project site in Kulim, Kedah.
