Job summary

PLUS SPACE (SG) INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. in Penang is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to support pre- and post-contract administration, cost control, and procurement for construction projects.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in contractor industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and related software.
• Strong understanding of construction cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overall project cost management, contractual matters, and financial oversight.
• Study project specifications and prepare relevant documents prior to commencement.
• Prepare and coordinate Sub-Contractor interim progress claims, including joint inspections with stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, anticipate issues, and report on cost impacts to management.
• Ensure timely submission of variation order (VO) costs and monthly progress claims, closing final accounts.
• Evaluate and check Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Project cost estimation for required materials.
• Participate actively in meetings and distribute updates to the team.
• Maintain organized correspondences and documentation for easy reference.
• Assist in sourcing and procurement of materials.
