Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Malaysia's Penang region seeks an experienced Site Civil Engineer to supervise and monitor construction activities, ensuring progress and compliance with specifications. The role requires coordinating with consultants and subcontractors to resolve on-site technical issues.

You will review drawings and technical documents, conduct site inspections, maintain quality of workmanship and materials, prepare progress reports, and assist in testing and commissioning of systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site construction activities to ensure timely progress and compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate implementation.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship and materials meet standards.
• Monitor progress and prepare progress reports; support scheduling updates.
• Handle site technical queries and provide timely feedback or solutions.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of systems (electrical, HVAC, fire protection, BMS).
• Prepare and maintain documentation (site diaries, RFIs, method statements, risk assessments).
• Ensure all works follow established method statements.

Prepare and maintain documentation including site diaries, RFI (Request for Information) method statements and risk assessments.

Ensure all works are carried out based on the established method statement

Requirement

Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.

Minimum 5 years working experience construction

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
