Job summary

IJM Land Berhad is seeking a Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Contracts to manage tendering and contract administration for major property projects in Malaysia. The role involves preparing contract documents, reviewing requisitions, and ensuring timely submissions of progress claims and final accounts.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants and site teams while mentoring junior staff to build capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
• Relevant experience in contracts administration or quantity surveying advantageous.
• Experience with tendering, contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tender documentation for new project bids, including contract documentation for successful tenders.
• Verify material requisitions, quantity take-offs and site measurements for cost and quantity accuracy.
• Prepare and submit progress claims and invoices to clients and consultants to support timely project cash flow.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and manage tender documentation for new project bids, including contract documentation for successful tenders.

Verify material requisitions, quantity take-offs, and site measurements to ensure cost and quantity accuracy.

Prepare and submit progress claims and invoices to clients and consultants to support timely project cash flow.

Monitor and administer main contracts and sub-contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project requirements.

Prepare progress reports, payment recommendations, variation order documentation, and final account submissions.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams on contract-related matters to ensure smooth project execution.

Support team capability building by guiding junior staff through on-the-job training and monitoring work progress.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in contracts administration / quantity surveying within the property development, main contractor, or construction environment.

Experience in tendering, contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts will be an added advantage.

Good negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills when dealing with clients, consultants, and contractors.
