Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor for a project located in Kulim, Kedah. The role covers pre- and post-contract activities, cost control, and commercial documentation to support procurement and tendering.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying with 1–4 years of relevant experience, and is willing to be based full-time on-site at the Kulim project. Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 1–4 years pre- and post-contract experience in building projects.
• Knowledge of tender preparation, cost estimation, contracts administration, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Experience in semiconductor facilities or mission-critical sites is a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-contract activities across the project lifecycle.
• Prepare tender documents, BQ, cost estimates, and procurement docs.
• Evaluate tenders, prepare cost comparisons, and support supplier selection.
• Manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Prepare invoices and verify progress with clients, consultants, subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project, site, and procurement teams to control costs.
• Maintain tender records, contract docs, cost reports and variation registers.
