About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team at Victorious Realty Sdn. Bhd. in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position based on-site, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing civil and structural engineering activities on construction projects. As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction work is executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and safety standards. This role is integral to the successful delivery of our projects and requires a proactive professional who can manage technical challenges, coordinate with various stakeholders, and maintain high standards of quality and safety throughout the construction process.

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily construction activities and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with design specifications, drawings, and approved methodologies

Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify that materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet project requirements and industry standards

Maintain comprehensive site records, including daily logs, progress reports, material testing records, and photographic documentation

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to site

Monitor and manage project timelines, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective measures to keep projects on schedule

Conduct safety audits and implement safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel on site

Liaise between the site, design consultants, and management to communicate progress, issues, and resolutions

Prepare and submit progress reports, variation orders, and claim documentation as required

Manage site resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to optimise project efficiency

Perform site surveys and take measurements to verify compliance with design intent

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

Professional registration or certification as an engineer (or working towards Professional Engineer status)

Minimum of 2 years of site engineering experience on civil or structural construction projects

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and structural systems relevant to civil engineering projects

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

Competency in using surveying equipment and site measurement tools

Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Problem-solving capabilities and ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions

Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to work in challenging site conditions and remain adaptable to changing project requirements
