Job summary

Iswarabena Sdn Bhd in Klang, Selangor, is seeking a Site Engineer (Protege) to join our Civil and Structural Engineering team on a full-time basis. This junior role focuses on learning from senior engineers and contributing to site activities to support project delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Structural engineering degree and a willingness to develop practical skills on real projects, with mentorship and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with minimal site experience (protege/trainee level).
• Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes and structural concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software (preferred but not essential).
• Keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professional competencies under supervision.
• Valid driving licence (preferred).
• Physical fitness to perform site-based duties and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assisting senior engineers with site inspections, surveys and measurements on construction projects
• Monitoring construction activities and ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications and safety standards
• Preparing daily site reports, progress logs and photographic documentation
• Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate smooth site operations
• Conducting quality checks on materials, workmanship and structural elements
• Supporting the preparation of method statements, construction plans and risk assessments
• Assisting with surveying and setting out of construction works
• Maintaining site records, drawings and documentation in an organised manner
• Supporting health and safety compliance on site and promoting a safety-first culture

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Site Engineer (Protege) to join Iswarabena Sdn Bhd as a full-time member of our Civil and Structural Engineering team. Based in Klang, Selangor, this is an excellent opportunity for a junior engineer to develop their professional skills and knowledge whilst contributing meaningfully to our construction and engineering projects. This role is designed for early-career professionals who are eager to learn from experienced mentors and grow their expertise in site-based civil and structural engineering. You will work closely with senior engineers and project teams to support the successful delivery of our projects on site.
