Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional registration or certification as an engineer (or working towards Professional Engineer status).
• Minimum of 2 years site engineering experience on civil or structural construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment and site measurement tools.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work follows designs and approved methods.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks against requirements and standards.
• Maintain site records including logs, progress reports and photos.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers for timely deliveries.
• Monitor timelines and implement corrective measures to stay on schedule.
• Perform safety audits and enforce safety protocols on site.
• Liaise between site, design consultants and management to communicate progress and issues.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, variation orders and claims documentation.
• Manage site resources to optimize efficiency.
• Conduct site surveys and verify compliance with design intent.
