Job summary

Ambu in Malaysia is seeking a self-driven individual to join the Warehouse Shipping Team. You will supervise shipping operations, manage bookings, and ensure accurate documentation from this base in Penang.

Responsibilities include training, liaising with forwarders, equipment maintenance planning, and supporting quality audits. Requires a Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain and 3+ years of supervisory experience in a computerized shipping warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain required.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in computerized shipping warehouse operations, including forwarding, Customs and MHE/PIT maintenance.
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude, flexible and able to multitask.
• Detail-oriented, a team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Resources management by planning and determining resources to meet business needs; including human resource capacity, equipment and space utilization, records update and filing.
• Supervise a group of shipping personnel performing shipping operations activities, including shipment bookings, pick and pack, container loading, shipping documentation dispatch and processing.
• Supervise timely shipment documentation processing and M3 transaction updates, including cycle counts and discrepancies investigation and resolution.
• Provide training on SOPs, EHS policies and MHEs/PITs to subordinate staff.
• Support internal and external quality audits by understanding and fulfilling the quality requirements according to the Quality Handbook and Audits.
• Liaise with forwarding and carrier service providers on shipment bookings and freight arrangements.
• Plan and execute warehouse equipment maintenance to prevent accidents and breakdowns including service chits, checklists and repairs and periodic servicing arrangements.
• Maintain 5S and EHS compliance in the Warehouse Operations.
• Assist on ad hoc assignments/tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Preferably with minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in a computerized shipping warehouse operations environment, including some basic experience in forwarding, Customs and MHE/PIT maintenance.
• Highly motivated individuals with a positive attitude, flexible adapt to any changes and ability to multitask.
• Detail-oriented, a team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
