Job summary

Polypaq in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations and a logistics team on-site.

The role requires overseeing stock accuracy, safety compliance, and timely dispatch while coordinating with transport vendors and internal stakeholders. Minimum 3–5 years in warehousing with supervisory experience is preferred, and strong Excel/WMS skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics or supply chain management.
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Proficient with Excel and experience using WMS or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise daily warehouse operations including goods receiving, stock picking, packing and dispatch.
• Lead, train and supervise the warehouse and logistics team.
• Plan daily work schedules and monitor performance metrics for individuals and teams.
• Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts and data reconciliation.
• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with occupational safety regulations.
• Review delivery orders, bills of lading, and shipping documents for compliance.
• Coordinate with external transport vendors to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to reduce transit times and costs.
• Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready warehouse conditions.
• Compile and report KPI data to senior management.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• To be responsible and perform any other duties as assigned by superior.
• To ensure stock accuracy by managing regular cycle counts, physical stock audits, and data reconciliation.
• To lead, train, and supervise the warehouse and logistics team.
• To plan daily work schedules, assign floor tasks, and monitor individual and team performance metrics.
• To enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure strict compliance with occupational safety and health regulations on the warehouse floor.
• To oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including goods receiving, stock picking, packing, and final dispatch.
• To guide the Admin & Logistic Executive and Junior Officer in managing transport bookings, freight documentation, and delivery schedules.
• To review and verify delivery orders, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and shipping manifests for legal compliance.
• To coordinate with external transport vendors, couriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and optimal freight costs.
• To identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to reduce transit times and warehouse handling costs.
• To maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse conditions.
• To compile and report operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

Competency requirements :

• The ability to follow instruction to perform the routine tasks and to check for the work accuracy before completion of tasks.
• Willing to work on the warehouse floor alongside workers when necessary, and able to problem-solve under tight dispatch schedules.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate across all levels of the team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, SQL, Auto Count)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage both office-based executives and floor-based workers.
• Must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent extensive working experience will also be considered.
• At minimum of 3–5 years of working experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity
