Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced logistics and freight forwarding professional to lead end-to-end shipment operations in Penang. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or related field, 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience with leadership exposure, and strong knowledge of customs procedures.

Candidates should be bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with solid communication and problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and coordinate with port authorities to

• 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience with exposure to customs brokerage.
• Experience with Port System, DagangNet, and accurate documentation and HS code classification.
• Proven ability to interact with regulatory agencies and port authorities.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for shipment enquiries and updates, resolve customer complaints, delays, or shipment issues promptly, maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business, and provide excellent customer service and support
• Coordinate end-to-end shipment process (export/import/transshipment), ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements, monitor shipment movement and ensure timely delivery, and coordinate with warehouse and transport teams for cargo handling.
• Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents and system entries, handle customs clearance coordination and documentation, ensure compliance with import/export procedures and Incoterms, and maintain proper record-keeping for all shipments
• Handle shipment delays, cargo damage, or customs issues, provide solutions and alternatives to minimize disruption, and provide internal updates on shipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

Minimum 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience, with strong exposure to customs brokerage and at least 1–2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong working knowledge of Port System, DagangNet, documentation, permits, HS code classification, OGA and customs procedures.

Proven track record of dealing with regulatory agencies and port authorities.

Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).

Good communication and coordination skills and able to work independently

Strong problem-solving abilities

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments

Good to Have

• Mandarin proficiency (added advantage due to business communication needs)
• Familiarity with warehouse and transport coordination
