Knauf Insulation Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Shift Mechanical Technician to support the engineering department. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, and minimizing downtime through timely, effective actions.
You will work in shifts, with responsibilities across conveyors, pumps, valves, cylinders, motors and sensors, aiming for safe, efficient plant operation and close collaboration with production teams.

Do you have a proven track record of delivering results?
Responsible to perform the planned preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and immediate response for any plant breakdowns.
Carry out planned mechanical routine maintenance tasks to ensure plant machinery is running effectively and safely. Ensure the routines are completed thoroughly and efficiently.
Carry out mechanical & electrical repairs when required to ensure plant operation at maximum.
Anticipate failures on plant machinery and highlight with recommendations to prevent failure to Team Leader and planner.
Carry out tasks effectively, efficiently with less direct supervision.
Ensure all work orders to be closed accordingly based on timeline given.
Develop trust and respectful relationship with production teams and other department to ensure any breakdown has been communicated to all party accordingly to avoid any impact on production.
Report to the team leader any general plant infrastructure issues with regards buildings & services.
Able to troubleshoot and rectification of machineries such as conveyors, pumps, control valves, cylinders, etc. and some knowledge/skills in electrical and automation systems such as motors, wiring, sensors, control valves, etc.
Able to work at extended hours.

Flexible to carry our any task as requested such as welding, fitter, etc.
Experienced in Manufacturing industry as Mechanical Technician.
Experienced in SAP system
