Job summary

Johor Plantations Group Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a skilled technician to operate and maintain machinery in our manufacturing process. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, efficient production.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in mechanical, pneumatic and electrical work, plus at least 3 years in a similar role and MBOT certification. You will work within a team to meet daily targets and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical work experience required.
• Leadership skills to lead teamwork in manufacturing industries.
• Creative with good oral communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Certified technician with the Malaysia Board of Technologists.
• Certificate in Electrical is a value-added qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to organize work under pressure and adapt to changing workloads.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in the production process.
• Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to ensure efficient operations.
• Respond to notifications, mark pipelines, and participate in job walks as needed.
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs for plant equipment, machinery, and related facilities.
• Monitor and track process conditions, storage vessel levels, and temperatures of equipment.
• Troubleshoot machines and carry out repair and modification if necessary.
• Prepare process equipment for maintenance work according to standard procedures.
• Test new stock or equipment on its suitability for daily functions.
• Oversee shift handovers and contribute to safety meetings and production goals.
• Record data in log sheets and report abnormalities or faults to the supervisor.
