Job summary

Titanium Systems Sdn Bhd in Johor is seeking a skilled technician to maintain production machinery, support daily operations, and mentor junior technicians.

You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical and automation issues, and drive continuous improvement while upholding ISO 13485 and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a technician in manufacturing (medical device preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues and implement solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior technicians.
• Support lean manufacturing or TPM initiatives to improve equipment efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the production team and provide training when needed.

Job description

Responsible for ensuring all production machinery and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. This role also supports production processes, leads troubleshooting efforts, and mentors junior technicians.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Equipment Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and production equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues
• Ensure machines meet operational and safety standards
• Maintain maintenance records and logs

2. Production Support

• Monitor production lines to ensure smooth operation
• Quickly resolve technical issues that affect output or quality
• Assist in machine setup, changeovers, and calibration
• Work closely with production teams to improve efficiency
• Identify root causes of equipment failures
• Repair or replace faulty components (motors, sensors, PLCs, etc.)
• Minimize downtime through fast and effective problem-solving
• Suggest and implement process improvements
• Support lean manufacturing or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives
• Optimize machine performance and reduce waste

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow workplace safety regulations and procedures
• Ensure equipment complies with company and legal standards
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments
• Guide and mentor junior technicians
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the team
• Provide technical training when needed

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a technician preferably within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry.
• Good command / understanding of English
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or inconsistencies
• Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 standards, and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and relevant engineering software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools
• Carry out Preventive maintenance activity based on schedule
• Support if have any production or equipment breakdown
• Any ad hoc assignment by supervisor/ management
