Job summary

Entegris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kulim Kedah is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring production equipment operates efficiently, supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and contributing to a safe, clean manufacturing environment.

The role requires a Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of experience, proficiency in MS Office, and strong PLC knowledge with the ability to diagnose and fix faults. Reading electrical/mechanical drawings is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma, Machine Certificate, or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience, or an equivalent combination of training and demonstrated ability to perform the job duties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, with the ability to diagnose and correct equipment faults.
• Experience with PLC systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment in an effective and timely manner.
• Ensure an adequate supply of spare parts within the allocated budget to minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify, plan, and perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities; maintain accurate records of all maintenance work.
• Participate actively in company initiatives such as training sessions, improvement projects, and team activities.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.
• Work on a rotating shift schedule and be able to support call-back requirements when needed.

Job description
