Job summary

Kawan Food Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform machinery maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, service and installation, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, with shift rotation as required. The ideal candidate holds a engineering degree, has at least 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing, and is willing to work in Pulau Indah.

Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical equipment or PLC is a plus.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year mechanical maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in pneumatic equipment, hydraulic system, electrical equipment or PLC will be an added advantage.
• Coachable, willing to learn and have growth mindset.
• Highly disciplined and polite.
• Able to work in shift rotation.
• Must be willing to work in Pulau Indah.

Responsibilities

• Perform machinery maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, service and installation jobs according to required standard under supervision of Maintenance Supervisor.
• Complete and submit required maintenance records/reports to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Troubleshoot root cause of machine problems and report to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time safely with quality.
• When there are no breakdowns or issues, conduct machine and condition monitoring as instructed.
• Ensure tools are properly used, cleaned and stored.
• Ensure workshop is always tidy and clean.
• Report spare parts usage to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Supervise maintenance helpers and contractors to ensure work is done accordingly.
• Undertake other responsibilities as and when assigned from time to time.
