Job summary

Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited in Penang seeks a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Technician to support production machinery, tooling, and related equipment to ensure stable operations.

The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with Production, Quality, and Industrial Engineering. Fluency in English and Chinese is required; night shifts, weekend work, and overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Chinese language proficiency mandatory.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends and overtime.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment, including machines, jigs, and tooling, to ensure stable operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective actions for machines, tooling, and related equipment.
• Improve machine performance, reliability, and cycle time via root cause analysis and CI initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recurring issues.
• Prepare equipment status reports: daily/weekly breakdowns, downtime analysis, corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and IE to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, modification, and validation activities.
• Assist in audits and corrective/preventive actions related to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Provide on-site technical support during critical production periods; night shift coverage as needed.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment, including machines, jigs, and tooling, to ensure stable and continuous operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective actions for machines, tooling, and related equipment.
• Improve machine performance, reliability, and cycle time through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, recurring failures, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and maintain equipment status reports, including daily and weekly breakdown summaries, downtime analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, and Industrial Engineering, to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, modification, and validation activities as required.
• Assist in audit preparation and support corrective and preventive actions related to quality management systems, including IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Provide on-site technical support during critical production periods and be available to work night shifts when required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality tools, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese language proficiency is Mandatory.
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work night shifts as required.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
