Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in PM, PdM, and breakdown maintenance for production machines, facilities, and utilities. You will complete assigned tasks promptly, follow up on outstanding work, and report daily maintenance activities to your supervisor.
The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics and 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

Assist in Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Breakdown Maintenance activities for production machines, facilities, and utilities.
Complete assigned maintenance work in a timely and effective manner.
Follow up and complete any outstanding maintenance work from the previous shift or day.
Prepare and report daily shift maintenance activities to the immediate superior.
Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and perform corrective and preventive actions.
Perform emergency repairs after working hours, on weekends, and public holidays when required.
Operate, maintain, and service production machines, facilities, and production support equipment to ensure reliable operation.
Perform and coordinate machine shutdowns, startups, changeovers, servicing, inspections, and commissioning activities.
Identify, implement, and report continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability.
Assist in equipment and system improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and achieve cost savings.
Carry out the installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing, and repair of equipment in accordance with site procedures and change control requirements.
Participate in Safety, Health, and Environment initiatives and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
Supervise and coordinate vendor work to ensure compliance with company safety and quality requirements.
Maintain good housekeeping (5S) practices within the maintenance workshop and production areas.
Support plant maintenance, facility improvement, and engineering projects as assigned.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with the Company's ISO management systems and relevant statutory requirements.

Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good coordination and planning skills.
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (M&E), including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, AutoCAD, and schematic diagram interpretation is an added advantage.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Willing to work under hot, oily, and dusty conditions during machine servicing.
Willing to work overtime and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
