Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. You will perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and rectification on compressed air systems at diverse sites, and conduct customer training to improve efficiency and reliability.

You will also write service reports, communicate quality feedback to production, and ensure compliance with HSE and local regulations while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in service, installation, site commissioning.
• Experience with industrial equipment including compressors, rotating equipment, pumps, HVAC.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and independent when required.
• Possess a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, diagnose, maintenance and rectification on compressed air systems at various commercial and industrial establishments.

• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery and proactive technical recommendations.

Job description

• Conduct site and classroom training to customers on compressed air system.

• Document and prepare field service quality reports. If there are quality problems, it is necessary to feedback specific product defects to the production department and assist customers to take corrective measures.
• Ensure all service activities are performed in compliance with company HSE policies, customer safety requirements, and local regulations.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery and proactive technical recommendations.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in service, installation, site commissioning
• Experience in industrial equipment, compressors, rotating equipment, pumps, blowers, generators, HVAC, or other electromechanical systems.
• Dynamic and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Team player as well as the ability to work independently
• Valid driving license
