Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, inspect, diagnose and maintain compressed air systems at customer sites in Shah Alam and surrounding areas. The role involves on-site troubleshooting, system performance optimization, and delivering on-site and classroom training to customers.

You will document service reports and feedback product defects to the production team. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in service, installation, site commissioning.
• Experience with industrial equipment such as compressors, rotating equipment, pumps, HVAC or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, diagnose, maintenance and rectification on compressed air system at various commercial and industrial establishments.
• Conduct site and classroom training to customers on compressed air system.
• Recommend actions to improve efficiency and reliability of customers' compressed air systems.
• General service report writing for internal and external customers.
• Document and prepare field service quality reports. If there are quality problems, feedback specific product defects to the production department and assist customers to take corrective measures.
• Ensure all service activities are performed in compliance with company HSE policies, customer safety requirements, and local regulations.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery and proactive technical recommendations.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in service, installation, site commissioning
• Experience in industrial equipment, compressors, rotating equipment, pumps, blowers, generators, HVAC, or other electromechanical systems.
• Dynamic and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Team player as well as the ability to work independently
• Valid driving license
