Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Training Manager to develop and manage the company’s training and workforce development strategy in Malaysia.

You will lead programs, competency frameworks, certification processes and continuous learning initiatives with Operations, Engineering, Quality and HR to enhance capability and performance. You will drive digital learning, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with department managers to address gaps, ensuring training records and certifications are up to date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, IT, HR, manufacturing or related fields.
• Master’s or postgraduate certification preferred.
• Certifications in Learning & Development or Training Management are advantageous.
• Minimum 7–10 years in Training, Learning & Development or related operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage training strategy and workforce development programs.
• Lead competency frameworks, certifications and continuous learning initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality and HR to close performance gaps.
• Monitor KPIs, training completion, and certification results; report to senior management.
• Drive digital learning initiatives and manage training budgets and resources.
