Job summary

VHR Consultancy in Malaysia seeks a technical sales professional to drive consultative selling of engineered building solutions. You will engage developers, consultants and contractors, read drawings, prepare proposals and tender documents, and develop opportunities while expanding market presence.

You will need strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage. Willingness to travel regionally is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Building Services or related discipline.
• Experience in technical sales, project sales or specification sales is preferred.
• Able to read construction, architectural, schematic and 2D drawings.
• Comfortable preparing proposals, technical specifications and tender-related documentation.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with developers, consultants, main contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend technical and commercial solutions.
• Generate new business opportunities and expand the network.
• Promote solutions through consultative, specification-based selling.
• Prepare technical proposals, specifications, tender documentation and submissions.
• Review project requirements and drawings to determine suitable product applications.
• Engage stakeholders during specification and design stages to strengthen solution acceptance.
• Conduct product briefings, technical presentations and solution discussions.
• Provide technical clarification and coordinate with customers through proposal to project development.
• Maintain strong customer relationships with regular engagement and support.
• Monitor upcoming projects and market movements to identify opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence and feedback to management.
• Coordinate internally to ensure proposed solutions meet requirements.
• Support regional markets with customer and site visits.
