Job summary

Lam Research in Malaysia is seeking a Supplier Engineer to ensure supplier parts meet Lam’s design intent, quality requirements and delivery needs. You will manage supplier qualification, process readiness, and issue resolution across NPI and high-volume manufacturing.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and SCM to drive risk reduction, process discipline, and continuous improvement, including PFMEA and control plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; 5+ years related experience or 3 years with Master’s or PhD.
• Functional understanding of Thermal & Gas-Flow Control systems, Hardware Instrumentation & Controls.
• Experience with supplier engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or related roles.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification activities for new and existing suppliers.
• Assess supplier manufacturing capability, process maturity, and quality systems before release.
• Define and lock the Supplier Process of Record (POR) with suppliers and Lam engineering.
• Drive PFMEA, control plans, and critical feature monitoring at suppliers.
• Lead resolution of supplier quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Partner with Product Group Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and SCM for risk mitigation.
