Job summary

Lam Research in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Business Manager to partner with suppliers, drive operational excellence across our global production cycle. You’ll leverage data driven planning to optimize material movement and ensure uninterrupted supply.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, operations management or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years’ related experience in development, management, and improvement of supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment and Leadtime.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power BI and data analysis tools is preferred.
Excellent stakeholders’ management, negotiation, and solid written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Own the operational relationship with assigned suppliers for VAF/Frames and act as the primary point of contact for supply chain matters.
Monitor and improve supplier performance through key metrics, including on-time delivery, consignment program, lead time, inventory, quality, and responsiveness.
Drive supply continuity by proactively identifying risks, developing mitigation plans, and leading recovery actions to minimize business impact.
Conduct regular supplier business reviews to assess operational health, capacity, demand readiness, and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with Commodity Management, Factory support, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to resolve supply chain challenges.
Analyze Supply vs. Demand (SvD), backlog, forecast, and inventory data to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Drive supplier commitments, lead time reduction, inventory optimization, and fulfilment improvements.
Lead escalation management for supply constraints, shortages, and delivery issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ensure timely communication of supply risks, recovery plans, and business impacts to leadership.
