Job summary

Lam Research in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a SET Factory Support Engineer to manage supplier quality escalations that impact factory operations and customer shipments.

You will lead cross-functional containment actions, develop recovery plans with suppliers, and collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, SET and Supply Chain to maintain production stability and ensure on-time fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering/Operation/Quality Assurance, preferably in Semiconductor Industry.
• Good understanding of equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with leadership presence and data-driven influence.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact to support factory escalation from Lam factories.
• Review critical part quality issues and provide appropriate response/action plan.
• Initiate immediate containment action plan and provide timely responses to SE, SBM, Buyer, SCM, SCFS, MQA.
• Develop recovery action plan to prevent disruption to Manufacturing or tool shipment; support Supplier Rework/Inspection at Lam factories.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, SET and Supply Chain teams to mitigate operational and supply chain risks.
• Improve Product Quality and ensure Factory Output through systematic problem-solving and proactive driven initiatives.
