Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field required.
• 5+ years electronics manufacturing experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with quality management systems and NPI processes.
• Knows continuous improvement tools.
• Able to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control at supplier sites and inspect products.
• Develop and control test and inspection instructions.
• Provide technical assistance to incoming inspection and suppliers.
• Prepare workmanship standards and inspection criteria.
• Conduct supplier quality audits.
• Issue and track corrective action requests (CARs).
• Perform failure analyses with suppliers.
• Familiarize suppliers with company process documentation.
• Oversee sample and qualification tests.
• Prepare supplier quality reports and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain vendor reliability records.
• Apply quality management system methodologies.
• Review customer documentation for NPI stages.
• Disposition suspect/nonconforming material.
• Provide First Article Inspection work direction.
• Train and mentor junior QA engineers.
• Able to travel as required.
