Job summary

CARSOME Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a highly organized Purchasing Manager to lead our inspection and procurement operations, overseeing end-to-end management of the inspection workforce, and driving efficiency for inbound, outbound, and web leads in a fast-paced car retail environment.

You will optimize scheduling, oversee bidding, coordinate cross-functionally with BST, TCA, and B2C teams, and deliver weekly performance reports while maintaining high-value deal closure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in automotive procurement, sales management, or branch operations.
• Proven track record of managing large teams of inspectors or frontline staff.
• Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills with a focus on closing high-value retail deals.
• Strong ability to track operational metrics and produce weekly performance reports.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and manage daily manpower schedules for inspectors to ensure 100% coverage.
• Assign new leads and monitor progress to meet SLA/TAT.
• Oversee website lead conversions and educate customers on inspection process.
• Lead post-inspection negotiations to secure vehicle purchases.
• Coordinate with BST for appointment slots and smooth ownership transfer.
• Manage post-bidding communications and offer acceptance or rejection.
