Job summary

CARSOME Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly organized Manager, Purchasing to lead inspection and procurement operations across our automotive marketplace in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee end-to-end workflow for inspectors, manage scheduling, negotiation, and post-inspection deal closure in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive procurement or related fields, a proven track record leading large teams, and strong vendor negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automotive procurement, sales, or operations.
• Experience leading large teams of inspectors or frontline staff.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills for high-value deals.
• Ability to track metrics, manage schedules, and produce weekly reports.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to work 6 days a week including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily manpower for inbound/outbound inspectors across BST, NCD Corp, B2B, Website.
• Assign leads to inspectors and monitor progress to meet SLA/TAT.
• Optimize capacity to keep average 20-35 mins per case.
• Oversee website lead conversion and explain inspection process.
• Negotiate post-inspection deals to meet procurement targets.
• Follow up with customers to drive deal confirmations.
• Manage post-bidding communications and secure acceptances.
• Coordinate with BST team to secure appointment slots.
• Produce weekly reports for TCA compliance.
• Provide rapid car value estimations to speed decisions.
