Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchase orders, negotiate with vendors, and provide data-driven purchasing insights. You will collaborate with finance, production, and warehouse teams to forecast needs and ensure timely deliveries.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, with at least 5 years of purchasing experience and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of purchasing/inventory/material management experience in automation or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders based on requisitions and ensure timely follow-up with vendors for ETD.
• Sourcing and negotiate for most competitive price in terms of quality, price, payment terms, deliveries and services with vendors.
• Handle order discrepancies, returns, and resolve issues related to product quality or delivery.
• Ensure procurement data is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with company standards.
• Prepare daily purchasing reports with accurate data on orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.

• Prepareandissuepurchaseordersbasedonpurchaserequisitionsandensurethetimelyfollow-upwithvendorsforexpecteddeliverydates(ETD).
• Sourcingandnegotiateforthemostcompetitivepriceintermsofquality,price,paymentterms,deliveriesandserviceswithvendors
• Handleorderdiscrepancies,returns,andresolveanyissuesrelatedtoproductqualityordelivery.
• Ensurethatallprocurementdataisup-to-date,accurate,andcompliantwithcompanystandards
• Preparedailypurchasingreports,providingaccurateandtimelydataonorders,deliveries,andanydiscrepancies.
• FollowupwithvendorsonETDforReturnedMerchandiseAuthorizations(RMAs)andrequirevendorprovidetherootcauseandcorrectionaction.
• Collaboratewithothersdepartmentssuchasfinance,production,andwarehouseteamstounderstandandanticipatepurchasingneeds.
• Participateinsupplierauditstoassessandensurethatsuppliersmeetthecompany'squality,compliance,andperformancestandards
• Undertakeotherdutiesandresponsibilitiesasassignedbythecompany,ensuringon-timecompletionandfullclosureoftasks.

AdditionalResponsibilities:

• Abilitytoworkindependently.
• Provideguidanceandmentoringtoprocurementexecutiveasnecessarytosupporttheirdevelopment.
