Job summary

Shipco Transport in Penang seeks a proactive Customer Service Executive to support day-to-day operations, liaise with carriers and warehouses, monitor shipments, and ensure SOPs are followed. The role requires a Diploma in Business/Logistics, strong English/Malay/ Mandarin language skills, and at least 1 year in freight forwarding.

Local and overseas customer inquiries will be handled. You will manage bookings, prepare required documents, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Logistics/Transportation or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin (Mandarin preferred for Mandarin-speaking clients).
• At least 1 year of experience in the related field (freight forwarding/NVOCC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Attend to local and overseas customer inquiries pertaining to rates.
• Respond promptly to booking confirmations and shipment follow-up until cargo arrival.
• Prepare bookings and telemarketing for local customer cargoes.
• Coordinate with carriers on container status and bookings.
• Liaise with warehouse on container status and vessel changes.
• Prepare railing instructions and coordinate with warehouse/truckers.
• Follow up with shippers on package discrepancies.
• Ensure shipping documents are prepared within deadlines.
• Coordinate internally with sales and documentation teams.
