Job summary

Gain City Best-Electric – Kajang, Selangor is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team and oversee the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting. The role requires 8+ years in accounting with CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred, and a strong knowledge of statutory requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent with professional qualification preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Autocount accounting system and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow and placement of surplus funds; source and negotiate bank financing as needed.

• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on year-end audits and tax submissions.
• Oversee finance and admin teams, including hiring and training as needed.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses for management.

• Supervise and review the company's monthly management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation of creditors, debtors, and inter-company transactions
• Prepare and/or review the annual budget
• Analyse the company's monthly performance, revenue, gross profit, and expenses
• Manage cash flow, including placement of surplus funds
• Source and negotiate bank financing when required
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures; recommend improvements to management
• Review expense approval sheets prior to MD's final approval
• Ensure adequate internal controls and segregation of duties to safeguard company assets
• Liaise with external auditors on year-end audits of subsidiary companies, including preparation/review of full sets of financial statements
• Review and liaise with tax agents on tax computation and submission, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines
• Supervise and lead the sales support team
• Manage, develop, and appraise the finance team, including hiring and training as needed
• Oversee general administrative operations
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred
• 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Strong knowledge of local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in Autocount accounting system and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing cross-functional teams (finance and non-finance, e.g. sales support/admin)
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin
