Job summary

Gain City Best-Electric is seeking an experienced finance leader in Kajang, Selangor to supervise management accounts, budgeting, and financial controls. You will manage cash flow, liaise with auditors, and drive process improvements across finance and admin teams.

The role requires a strong accounting foundation, 8+ years in finance with leadership experience, and fluency in multiple languages. Based in Kajang, the position offers growth opportunities within a dynamic retail group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review the company's monthly management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation of creditors, debtors, and inter-company transactions
• Prepare and/or review the annual budget
• Analyse the company's monthly performance, revenue, gross profit, and expenses
• Manage cash flow, including placement of surplus funds
• Source and negotiate bank financing when required
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures; recommend improvements to management
• Review expense approval sheets prior to MD's final approval
• Ensure adequate internal controls and segregation of duties to safeguard company assets
• Liaise with external auditors on year-end audits of subsidiary companies, including preparation/review of full sets of financial statements
• Review and liaise with tax agents on tax computation and submission, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines
• Supervise and lead the sales support team
• Manage, develop, and appraise the finance team, including hiring and training as needed
• Oversee general administrative operations
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred
• 8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Strong knowledge of local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in Autocount accounting system and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing cross-functional teams (finance and non-finance, e.g. sales support/admin)
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin
