Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance Lead to manage the full set of accounts, prepare management reports, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and compliance functions. The role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian tax rules, SST, and MFRS, plus leadership of a finance team in a manufacturing context.

You will coordinate with auditors, secretaries, bankers, and tax agents while ensuring timely financial statements and adherence to internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; ACCA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in manufacturing or project management preferred.
• Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented, with ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST and MFRS.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of the company's accounts and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial information in accordance with accounting standards, tax regulations and Companies Act.
• Prepare and present management accounts, financial reports, forecasts, budgets, analyses and other ad-hoc reports accurately and timely for management.
• Prepare annual budget and update forecasts to align with business unit planning and strategy.
• Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payables/receivables, general ledger and cash flow to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Oversee fixed assets management, inventory management and product costing.
• Oversee risk management including the company's insurance portfolio.
• Review and monitor SST submissions and e-invoicing.
• Plan, coordinate and coach finance subordinates on day-to-day finance & administrative matters.
• Adhere to and advocate for company policies, code of conduct and business ethics.
• Liaise with auditors, company secretary, bankers, tax agents and other professionals to ensure compliance with applicable financial laws and regulations.

• Oversee risk management matters including Company's insurance portfolio
• Review and monitor timely submission of SST and e-invoicing
• Plan, Coordinate and Coach Finance subordinates on day to day finance & administrative matters
• Adhere to and advocate for Company's policies, code of conduct and business ethics.
• Liaise with external and internal auditors, company secretary, bankers, tax agents, and other professionals to ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, tax regulations and financial standards including but not limited to Income Tax Act, Public Rulings, Sales and Service tax Act, Custom Act, Companies Act, BNM rulings, etc.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, professional qualification (i.e. ACCA/CPA) is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of working experience in similar role
• Prior experience in manufacturing or project management is preferred
• Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST and MFRS
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in financial management software and advance MS. Excel skills are an added advantage
